Rotation Changes, Reporting Leaves - FM Residents and Preceptors
A reminder to email fmpgc@schulich.uwo.ca regarding any rotation changes. Questions related to leaves may also be directed to this email address.
For site directors and rotation preceptors/supervisors, please ensure your administrative staff reports all resident leaves or absences to the FM Office at fmpgc@schulich.uwo.ca.

2026 Recruitment Update
This year’s CaRMS interviews were held virtually and were a great success. This is always an exciting time for our department as we showcase our residency training program and share our enthusiasm with potential candidates.
We interviewed 264 CMG and 132 IMG applicants. Interviews were conducted entirely through Zoom. The Postgraduate team extends a sincere thank you to all staff, faculty, and residents who contributed to the interview process. Your participation is essential, and we could not do this without you. Match Day is March 3, 2026.
2026 Resident Awards
Residents are encouraged to submit nominations for themselves or colleagues. Please visit our website for details on eligibility and nomination requirements.
All nomination letters and required forms must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
Indigenous Family Medicine Resident Scholarship
This scholarship follows a self-application process directly through the CFPC/FAFM. The application deadline is 4:00 p.m. (ET) on March 9, 2026. Please refer to their website for full details.
Resident Graduation – Save the Date
Graduation will take place on Friday, June 19, 2026, at The Great Hall. Further information, including RSVP details will follow in the coming months.
Completions – June 2026 Graduates
Residents completing the program in June 2026 are reminded to review all completion requirements. To avoid delays in your CFPC certification or CPSO licensing, please ensure the following are fully up to date:
• Elentra assessments
• Academic credits (MyFM)
• Field notes (MyFM)
• Procedures (MyFM)
Resident Wellness
The Family Medicine Postgraduate team encourages all members of our program to remain attentive to the health, mental health, and wellbeing of our residents and colleagues.
